A Splint-tacular Event
Thank you to everyone who came to cheer on their favorite combatant. Splintfest would not have been the huge success it was without your support. We also could never have done this without the hard work of so many people who donated their time and energy into making this such a memorable event.
If you attended Splintfest (or even if you didn't), we want to hear from you. Please take a moment to add a comment to the bottom of this article and let us know what you thought of the whole event.

Get to Know the Judges Part 3 : Bobby Gomez
Is that a Mustang with the two tone body paint, decibel shattering speaker system and airbag hydraulic kit on the under carriage? Yes it is, as American as apple pie! As American as country service and as American as our next judge, Robert Gomez.
"Bobby" as he's called on the "streets" is an MICP in Yolo County and comes to us from a long lineage of Gomez Family judges. Bobby proudly stated "Great grandpa Gomez was judge at the local Toro fights in Tijuana, and mi Abuelo Gomez was one of the greatest officials in FIFA Futbol tournaments when they were held in Mexico. So...um...yeah! This is kind of a big think!"

Get to Know the Judges Part 1: Walter Scruggs
Walking through 555 Matmor Rd. gives one a sense of being. A place where the aromas of the old country blend together in an olfactory symphonic arrangement as they waft through the summer breeze; telling a story of what once was. I can see Jalisco in all of its vibrancy; the folklore of Ixtapa, and the soul of Vera Cruz. You can’t fight the inviting sensation of community and food sure enough to tempt even the most stoic of individuals into a fit of epicurean indulgence. This is Woodland, Ca, a place where our first judge not only resides, but is a stalwart defender of life and property. Monday, August 31, 2009
Splintfest Master of Ceremonies!
A graduate of the Dick Clark Academy of Ceremony Officiating, Mr. Cruz brings an energy and excitement to Splintfest unlike anyone else. Some say that Mr. Cruz actually MC'd his own birth from within the womb, while other reports have placed him in ancient Rome hosting the might gladiator battles in the Coliseum. While the truth may never be fully known, what we do know is that Mr. Cruz will make Splintfest a monumental event for the ages.
